Dr. Anita Gupta is a Doctorate in Mechanical Engg. from Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi. She began her career in as a faculty of Mechanical Engg. at Govt. Engg. College, Raipur in 1987. Thereafter, she worked in the Industrial R&D Department of Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi for over three years. After having a brief stint at Consultancy Development Center, a nodal agency for the promotion of technical consultancy in India, she joined the Department of Science & Technology of the Government of India in 1998.
Handling Government of India’s (Department of Science and Technology, DST) pioneering programme on Institution based innovative and Technology driven Entrepreneurship Development which includes the following: Technology Business Incubators (TBI), Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Parks (STEPs) and Networking with National & International Institutions
For the past ten years, she is actively involved in propelling entrepreneurial movement and the landscape across the country, through various Institutional based mechanisms for promotion of techno-entrepreneurship with the nodal governmental body National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board of DST. At National level, as a lead facilitator and catalyst, mechanisms like Technology Business Incubators Science & Science and
Technology Entrepreneurs Park are being independently handled by her which targets higher education and research institutes of excellence. She has been actively involved in shaping up over 50 business incubators, which have cumulatively nurtured over 1100 entrepreneurial ventures across the country. She has also handled joint collaborative programmes with the International Organisations i.e. World Bank, European Union, UNDP and Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology. She has also acted as a UN-ESCAP resource person in their programmes in Cambodia and UNESCO-WTA programme in South Korea. She has officially visited countries like Cambodia, China, Germany, Nepal, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand ,U.K and USA. Various articles and technical papers have been contributed by her in leading national and international periodicals and newsletters.

Dr. Martin Haemmig specializes as international researcher, lecturer and consultant in "The Globalization of Venture Capital", covering 13 countries in Asia, Europe, Israel , and the United States. His research and/or teaching are in conjunction with leading schools, such as the University of California, UniBW in Munich, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich. In Asia, he lectures at China's Tsinghua, Renmin, Peking, Fudan, CEIBS and JiaoTong University, as well as at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in New Delhi and Mumbai, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.
Martin Haemmig is involved in research projects in international innovation management through CeTIM (Center of Technology and Innovation Management). Their research sites are in Munich/Germany (UniBW) and in Leiden/Netherlands (Leiden University). CeTIM specializes in collaborative research, virtual factories and innovation management, and the 'Globalization of Venture Capital' in particular, as well as venture-backed startups companies.
Martin Haemmig is co-chairman for Research & Statistics at the Swiss PE/VC Association (SECA) and co-chairs the Swiss National PhD Coaching Program for dissertations on Venture Capital for all Swiss universities, and was trainer at America's NVCA on "Globalizing Venture Capital". He is also founding professor of the world's first PhD program in venture capital at Renmin University in Beijing , as well as an advisor to the Thunderbird University Private Equity Center and the China Research Center (CRC) of the University of California Berkeley . He was involved in the workshops for China's early-stage venture investment climate at the World Economic Forum in China for two years. Martin Haemmig consults a few leading global venture capital firms, investors and governments and is a frequent conference speaker globally.
Dr. Martin Haemmig has both his doctor degree in business and his MBA from California and an engineering degree in electronics from Switzerland. During his over 20 years of industry experience as technologist and business executive, he became Swiss national marketing champion in 1994.

Dr. Raghunandan Rajamani has been associated with the JSS group since 1989. He is Mechancial Engineer by profession with a Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has served as both faculty in Engineering and also in the Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Parks at both Mysore and Noida. He has more than a decade of experience in Entrepreneurship development.
During his tenure at the STEP at Noida he has been instrumental in establishing the IT Business Incubator which was the first Incubator to be setup under the umbrella of the Dept. Of Scinece & Technology, Govt. Of India (DST). The Incubator won the National Award as ‘Best Technology Business Incubator’ in the year 2004. He is also the lead player in the setting up of a Global Incubation Service platform – India’s first International Incubator with support of the DST.
He was also responsible to conceptualise and implement the Product Lifecycle Management Competency Centre in collaboration with Govt. Of France and Dassault Systemes and the establishment of a Centre of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies with support from ICICI Bank – Technology Institutions programme.
Dr. Raghunandan has also been active in the skilling of youth for employment and several programmes in vocational training have been implemented including a project titled “SKILLS” with the support from UNDP and DST, GOI.
He is currently the Treasurer of the Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA).

At ABI-ICRISAT he had developed and implemented the unique program of Sweet Sorghum Ethanol Business, Introduced new programs on specialized incubation services like Seed Business Incubation, Agri Biotech Business Incubation .He has anchored sixty ventures; commercialized ten technologies benefited thousands of the farmers and attained financial self sustainability of ABI-ICRISAT within a short period. Len Denton is a Technology Strategist who designs and leads technology commercialization programs for the IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. His programs accomplish the Institute’s goal of economic growth and development through technology commercialization for countries, regions and organizations.
The focus of Len’s current activity is leadership of the India Innovation Growth Program, a technology commercialization program co-sponsored by Lockheed Martin and India’s Department of Science and Technology. This program is designed to encourage and stimulate Indian early-stage technical innovations. Working closely with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Program identifies new innovations, trains entrepreneurs and inventors and accelerates new businesses into global markets.
Len’s other engagements for the IC2 Institute involved commercialization programs in Poland, Mexico and Hungary.
Prior to joining the IC2 Institute, Len was an engineering executive with US Fortune 100 companies. He has more than 25 years of hand-on experience of envisioning, shaping and managing technologies and their markets.

Mr. HK Mittal joined the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad for developing entrepreneurship among the various target groups including Science & Technology persons. Mr. Mttal was instrumental in establishment of institutions of entrepreneurship development at the state level. Mr. Mittal then moved on to provide technical and management consultancy to SMEs and evolved programmes for entrepreneurship development.Between 1990 to 2003, Mr. Mittal was responsible for initiating various new programmes in NSTEDB and also had a short stint with UNIDO for development of Industrial Clusters in India and evolved programmes for entrepreneurship development.
Mr. Mittal has over two decades of experience in technology based entrepreneurship development; skill development; trainers training and faculty development; establishment of entrepreneurship development institutions like institutes of entrepreneurship development at the state level, Technology Business Incubators, Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Parks, Entrepreneurship Development Cells in the educational institutions; development of micro-enterprises; working for income generation activities for underprivileged sections like: women, scheduled castes/tribes, physically challenged etc.; development of mass media systems for enterprise development like distance learning, TV, radio, satellite networks and development of portal; development of Industrial clusters; financial, management and technical consultancy to SMEs. In addition to being Member Secretary of NSTEDB, Mr. Mittal also looks after the work relating to plan-coordination and Information Technology for the Department of Science & Technology.
Mr. Mittal is also the National Programme Director of the UNDP project on skills which aims to demonstrate that jobs can be created through appropriate location specific, need based, competency linked training interventions using the conventional as well as on-line systems. Mr. Mittal has been responsible for establishing networks with international development institutions like the World Bank (InfoDev Programme) and EU for bringing the global incubation knowledge to the Indian business incubators. At the National level Mr. Mittal has linked activities of the NSTEDB with various developmental ministries and institutions. He has also worked in the areas of Projects and Profit Centre Management in companies like Crompton Greaves Ltd, S&S Power Switchgear Ltd and BHEL. Was the Founder – Executive Director of PSG-Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP), Coimbatore that was chosen, in only its third year of operation, as the ‘Best S&T Park/ Technology Business Incubator in the Country’ by the Dept of Science & Technology, Government of India in 2002. PSG-STEP, under his leadership, assisted more than 80 technology ventures.
He is a B Tech from IIT, Madras and MBA from IIM Bangalore and is presently pursuing his Ph D in Management Studies from the University of Hyderabad. Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, MD & CEO of ICICI Knowledge Park, is responsible for developing the first Life Science Research Park in India and establishing a sustainable innovation and knowledge cluster around a science park through a Public-Private Partnership model. She has deep interest in entrepreneurship, incubation and institution building.
Deepanwita Chattopadhyay did her B. Tech & M. Tech in Radio Physics & Electronics from Calcutta University, India and was a senior research fellow at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. After brief stints as faculty at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, BITS, Pilani and as freelance writer and editor of science material for children, she joined the telecom advisory practice of ICICI Bank Ltd., the largest private bank in India, in 1994. She advised both government agencies and the private sector on telecom regulation & policy, convergence issues, market forecasts and entry strategies. She was deputed to ICICI Knowledge Park as its CEO in August 2001.
Ms. Chattopadhyay is a Director on the Board of the IKP Investment Management Company that has been set up in 2009 to manage the India Innovation Fund. She has served as a member of various central and state government committees and is currently a member of the Committee on Biotech Parks of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, Advisory Council Member of BIRAP, DBT, Governing Council Member, Lucknow Biotech Park and the Andhra Pradesh State Biotech Council and executive members of the Indian STEPs & Business Incubators Association (ISBA) and the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations.
She has been featured in various magazines for her work in entrepreneurship and cluster development. In 2008 the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) published her interview in Commercialising Science & Technology Parks, IASP Learning by Sharing Series, Book One, brought out as a sequence of four interviews of successful science park managers around the world.
